Ready to take the SNAP challenge?

 

  

Challenge Guidelines: 

 

 

o            Each person should only spend $4.50 per day on food and drink for 7 days from Sept. 15-21..

o            All food purchased and eaten in this time must be counted in total   spending - this

              includes dining out.

o            During this time, do not eat any food purchased prior to the start of  the Challenge.

o            Whenever possible, avoid accepting free food from family, friends  and coworkers

               since these opportunities are not always available to those in need.

o            Eat as healthy as possible, keeping in mind that this is how many SNAP recipients

              eat every day, whereas you can make up for lost    nutrients the next week.

 

During the Challenge:

o            Educate your family, friends and coworkers about hunger in Dallas.                   

o            Volunteer at CCS and meet our clients

o            You can help Crossroads provide food to our neighbors-in-need by donating at least

               $31.50. Our SNAP Challenge Goal is $10,000. On North Texas Giving Day Sept 19 a   

               portion of your gift is matched.
