The Food Distribution Service of Crossroads
Community Services serves low-income persons who have
their own residence that live in the city of Dallas or
anyone who has experienced a catastrophic loss due to
fire, flood, theft, etc. Nutritional food is distributed
to low-income households in the Dallas area through the
Food Distribution Service at Crossroads Community Services. We are 5th
largest distributor for the North Texas Food Bank
Over 500 households--representing over 1200 men, women,
and children--are served from our Food Distribution
Service each
month.
The Food Distribution Service operates under the non-profit status
granted to First United Methodist Church of Dallas, TX.
All contributions---both financial and product
donations---are eligible charitable contributions under
IRS tax guidelines.
LOCATION: 1822 Young Street,
2nd Floor of the building commonly known as the Stewpot,
Dallas, TX 75201
Between Harwood and St. Paul, 2 blocks east of Dallas
City Hall
HOURS OF OPERATION: 8:30am - 11:30am, Mondays – Thursdays
It is imperative that you arrive early in order to
receive food because we can only serve 35 households per
day

LIMITATIONS: One visit per month. We encourage people to
find a ride as people can only carry so many groceries
on the bus
Approximately 500 households are served from the Food
Distribution Service each month.
Because we buy in bulk at greatly reduced prices, cash
contributions are the most cost efficient donations. For example, we purchase food items from the North
Texas Food Bank at $.14 per pound.
