Our Mission ...

To enrich the lives of our neighbors-in-need by compassionately providing ongoing tangible support and the strategic skills necessary to enjoy sustained economic success.

Our 2007 Goals... 

Our primary objective at Crossroads Community Services continues to be homeless prevention for our low income clients as well as transition and ultimately stabilization services for our homeless clients.
  • Improve our efficiency of operation so that 4,500 different households can receive services as needed in 2007—33% increase.

  • Implement an electronic intake system for food and clothing clients (No paper files) by 3-1-07.  --  DONE!

  • Host a gathering and appreciation of all our awesome FUMC mission and outreach volunteers at the Church on Sunday, 5/20/07.

  • Install Spanish-language phone voice tree by 8-1-07.

  • Have all of our intake/informational forms in Spanish by 8-1-07.

  • Rewrite Volunteer Procedures Manual by 10-1-07.

  • Raise $240,000 to distribute 1,600,000 pounds of food by year end—45% Increase.

  • Raise $87,500 to assist 450 families financially by year end—10% Increase.

  • Distribute 400,000 articles of clothing by year end = $2,000,000 market value.

  • Raise $12,000 to provide adequate amounts of new underwear and socks.

  • Acquire and then distribute 36 computers to eligible families by year end.

  • Create Spanish-language mirror of the CCS website by year end.

  • Distribute a CCS newsletter that contains a "contribution envelope" 3 times this year.

  • Update the CCS website at least every week.

  • Submit 36 funding requests and have 12 approved by year end that raise $120,000.

  • Selected staff and volunteers teach every adult FUMC Sunday School class by year-end with these specific topics:

    • the theological underpinnings our outreach work, and

    • how their class can contribute as volunteers and help find new money sources.
