Service Dates:
This position is an AmeriCorps quarter time position with a start date of September 4, 2018.

Responsibilities:
The Client Services Associate will serve as a lead for the front end of our client service process. The associate is responsible for working with the volunteers to ensure that clients have a positive experience while at Crossroads. Duties include the following:
•    Assist the Client Services Coordinator and volunteers at the front desk
•    Serve as an intake interviewer
•    Train and support new volunteers
•    Monitor volunteers to ensure research-worthy data collection
•    Assist with recording daily, weekly, and monthly numbers and reports
•    Attend weekly pantry and all staff meetings

Service Conditions:
This service opportunity is highly interpersonal and requires the member to serve well with others. Member must be able to accommodate changing service conditions and diverse points of view. Member must also be able to meet the physical demands of the position, which includes the ability to lift at least 25 pounds and stand/walk for up to 5 hours. Member must learn to balance both program identity and AmeriCorps identity. Member must wear the AmeriCorps logo during service.

Qualifications:
Preferred: Previous employment or volunteer experience in fast-paced and/or customer service-oriented field. English/Spanish bilingual.

Minimum: 18 years or older. High school diploma or GED. Interest in serving vulnerable populations. U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. Ability to serve flexible hours as requested - some Saturdays. Access to reliable transportation to and from Crossroads on a daily basis. Must demonstrate commitment to serving clients from diverse backgrounds and vulnerable populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness.

This position has recurring access to vulnerable populations. As such, it requires a three-part National Service Criminal History Check, including a FBI fingerprint background check. Until a member is cleared on all three components, the member is not permitted to have access to vulnerable populations but is confined to training and program development.
